Maukq & Company began with a simple but disruptive question:
What if every construction site, engineering project, or mining operation could become a classroom?
Born from the perspective of an educator who saw the gap between what children learn and what Africa builds, Maukq was created to bridge industry and education through technology, data, and design.
Our journey started in classrooms with curiosity, chalkboards, and imagination, and evolved into boardrooms, project sites, and innovation spaces where learning meets real-world impact.
Today, Maukq stands as a connector helping African industries measure, manage, and showcase their educational and community impact with intelligence and purpose.
What began as one idea to merge teaching and technology has grown into a system that turns corporate social investment into measurable nation-building.
Because the future we imagine for Africa can’t just be taught, it has to be built.
All About Our Story
Maukq & Company is an education–industry initiative founded by Angel Mokgokolo, a teacher in training working at the intersection of classrooms and Africa’s built environment.
The work began with a simple observation: learners are exposed to engineering and infrastructure concepts long before they make subject choices, yet they are rarely given access to visible, tangible, curriculum-aligned learning resources that reflect real projects in their country.
Today, Maukq designs learning frameworks that translate real projects across engineering, construction, energy, mining, and infrastructure into classroom learning resources for Grades 7–9, aligned to the South African curriculum.
